True Blood is based on popular ‘Southern Vampire’ book series by Charlaine Harris. The series follows the life of Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress in the fictional town Bon Temps, who have been an outcast due to her gift/curse. She lives in a small Louisiana town that just happens to be shared by both humans and vampires. The series explain how her life completely transforms when a vampire enters the bar where she works and later when it is discovered that he’s immune to her gift/curse. A Japanese Company successfully created a synthetic blood called ‘True Blood’ so that Vampires don’t have to kill humans anymore to survive. The main character is a vampire named Bill who happens to be a 173-year-old vampire and who turned gentleman after the Civil war was over and still has a kind and gentle heart. He has fallen in love with the waitress Sookie Stackhouse. It is filled with a lot of twists and turns, murder mysteries, werewolves, love stories, fight scenes, humor, sadness etc and how the vampires deal in the face of serious opposition from individuals and organizations that propagate a firm belief that these creatures do not have a place in the society.
