Paying for Business Insurance Is Absolutely Vital to the Running of Your Firm

There is no question the fact that the triumph of an organisation ultimately is owed to the work undertaken by the workforce, but one misfortune can promptly wipe out all your work & shrink the revenue to dust. So, to evade such an occurrence, you are suggested to insure your business, whether it’s a small organisation or a huge corporation. Nevertheless, please take into account that smaller businesses are much more probable to need business insurance cover in today’s world. This is essentially since smaller firm owners will have put their whole lives and pay packet straight into the business.

A number of the things normally protected by the majority of business insurance covers include: natural disasters, Tsunamis, mechanism or apparatus fault that closes the business, loss of money because of employee carelessness & legal action brought against the organisation.

There are hundreds insurance businesses, which provide covers that combine protection for all main property and liability risks in one complete package. You can also acquire a separate policy. Such cover is acknowledged as a business owners’ policy (BOP). Large firms might obtain a business-related policy. Procure professional indemnity online today.

BOPs incorporate building insurance for property and equipments owned by the organisation. If there is any loss of revenue due to disruption of operation & production because of catastrophes like hurricanes, it can be covered under the Business Interruption Insurance policy.

There are specific liabilities, which insure the company’s legal accountability for the damage it could cause to others. It’s the result your organisation’s failure to do the business operations. It can as well be the actual injury or building damage caused due to defective manufactured goods, faulty fittings & errors in services provided.

However, BOPs do not protect against professional liability, auto cover, employees’ re-payment or health and disability cover. With this in mind, separate insurance policies are needed for professional services, commercial motor vehicles & workers. Commonly, floods, earthquakes & terrorist attacks are not protected in the business cover. Always check before you purchase a policy!

Supreme Snowfall All over the Alps

We have had about 1.5 metres of snow in the last week. The snow has been so heavy that chairlifts have been shut, the funicular has been finishing at the Chamonix train station and not heading to Argentiere. Roads have been blocked past our Chamonix chalet and weather announcements released.

This is in direct contrast to 2 winter seasons past, when there was the unusually mild Feb weather, grass showing on mountainsides, and warnings that global warming meant the end of skiing in the Alps. Highlighting this the OECD’s report from 2005 warned that global warming would make skiing far too dear for a lot of snowboarders, with a third of ski domains going bust and the receding of alpine glaciers. Experts assert that it is nearly impossible to assign these seasonal variations in the snow conditions to the outcomes of global warming.

So we might be experiencing the longest recession in almost 30 yrs, and the Pound has plummeted to new levels versus the euro, but the conditions are excellent, and the latest bookings highlight that skiers are eager to take of advantage of the superior conditions. Its definitely the finest in seven seasons, and many skiers are announcing its the finest skiing conditions in at least ten winter seasons.

Notwithstanding recall that this amount of snow means high risks of avalanche.

EMAIL HELPS YOU MAKE THE SALE

Sales letters are one of the most popular forms of advertising today, and rightly so. The reason for this is simple: they work. However, even the most powerful sales letter can’t do its job if you don’t get it to the right people.

So, how do you make sure your sales message gets across to those who will listen? The answer lies in one simple word: EMAIL. Email is the fastest, most direct, and most cost-effective way to spread the word. In fact, it’s the number one marketing method in use today.

If you have already established an email newsletter, use your existing list to send out a sales letter. Since these people have already signed up to receive your messages, they’re likely not to mind much if you send them a sales pitch; just try not to make it too hypey or pushy. Thank them for joining your list, then tell them what you can do, as a service for them.

If you’re nervous about turning your prospects off with a sales letter, simply begin each newsletter issue with a brief ad for your services. Provide a link back to your site, perhaps to a page that does contain a strong sales letter.

If you don’t already have a newsletter going out, you need to start one. Let visitors to your site sign up simply, by providing their email address. Let them know you’ll give them weekly insider tips, useful articles, and money-saving offers. And ALWAYS, ALWAYS provide, at the end of your newsletter, specific instructions for how your subscribers can remove themselves from your list. Although you don’t really want people to unsubscribe, not providing these instructions can really frustrate people and damage your reputation.

If you don’t think it’s possible to start your own newsletter, try buying or renting a targeted list of prospects from an outside source. A simple Internet search will no-doubt help you find dozens of companies who specialize in these lists.

In short, email is an incredible marketing tool that can make the difference between success and failure… if you do it right. A well-written, well-targeted sales letter or ad can indeed do wonders for your bottom line. For tips on writing effective sales letters, see http://www.drnunley.com/copywriting.htm.

Follow the yellow brick road to : Book Publishing

So you have written something great and you wish to see it published. I suggest joining writing groups first and start seeking feedback that can help your career as a writer. It is most likely mom and dad are telling you that your writing is the greatest thing since Steven King and maybe it is but it doesn’t hurt to get some feedback from your fellow writers. Now once you are ready to take that plunge into the deep oceans of writing and see your writing published for the first time the best place to start is magazines and those looking for calls for submission.

There are over 100 publishers listed on Today’s Woman website looking for stories and poetry. You are going to want to purchase a copy of Writer’s Market that is published annually. This is an essential book for writers who are interested in publishing their work.

You are also going to want to reach your market. You are going to want to see just what kind of stories the magazine publishes as often time’s magazines will receive stories that is just not right for their magazine. Each publisher will have guidelines to follow. If you are looking to see your book published some publishers will want you to send them your entire manuscript, while others may only want a query letter outlining your book proposal, some may wish to see a chapter from the book. If you’re sending a full manuscript or sample chapters, always include a

S.A.E. (Self Addressed Envelope) with your submission.

Present a cover letter that is professional. Offer your short stories for publication in their magazines, be sure to list your other publications if any and thank the editor for considering your work for possible publication. I suggest doing a Google search for query letter to give you some examples. If you are submitting by email make sure that you follow the guidelines on the website.

Stories posted on your website are they Personal or Publication?

In some cases magazines will consider a story posted on your website or an open community to be already published. Therefore you will not be able to claim first rights to it and most magazines; newspapers etc will not accept it as submission. This will differ from publisher to publisher and it is a very grey topic. I suggest if you are submitting work that has already appeared in the web for publication, mention in the cover letter the forum’s where the story has been posted and let the editor make an informed decision.

Simultaneous Submissions?

There is a great debate in the writing community regarding simultaneous submissions. I have had a few interesting discussion myself. Some feel that it is the only way to get published quickly others feel that it could lead to a bad reputation for you as a writer. This being that publisher 1 will invest time in to reading your manuscript, only to find later it has been accepted by publisher 2. I do encourage writers if you are going to use simultaneous submission , the best thing to do is to be upfront in your query letters to publishers that you are doing this.

Look over the contract

Many first-time writers are so excited to just be published that they sign their name on anything without fully reading the contract. With out carefully reading over the contract you could sign yourself into a contract where for the next seven years you are bound to it and your publisher is reaping the rewards. Do not get trapped into this loop hole. Make sure you do an in depth check into the background of any publisher.

Once you send off your manuscript now the fun comes. You sit and wait. How long does it take? It could take from 8-10 weeks to 8-10 months. Don’t be discouraged by rejections, every writer gets rejected. Even Steven king was rejected. One published author say’s every story, on average, must be submitted to 100 markets before it is accepted. You are going to want to no about rights, like first serial rights etc. However that is another topic. Getting published isn’t easy. The editors get thousands of unsolicited manuscripts all the time. However don’t give up. Start at the bottom and work up. I know some very talented writers who still aren’t published. They’ve been trying for years. Writing is all about creating a name for yourself and that takes time.

If you are really eager about having your book published you may wish to consider Self -publishing or Pod publishing. If you are considering this I suggest developing a budget of how much you want to spend on printing your book. You are going to want to shop around and look at the different prices of pod publishers or printing companies. If you are going to go the self-publishing route you are going to need your own ISBN number and cover designer. In Canada you can get an ISBN number through CollectionsCanada . If your looking for a print on demand publisher Books and Tales offers a Guide to Print on Demand Publishers. You can also check out InstantPublisher if you want to start on a small budget. A Quick and easy bookbinding for writers and others who want to see their words in print is GigaBooks Remember self-publishing is just what it says self-publishing you do all the marketing, advertising, distribution, and sales.

It might be good to get some writing credits under your name before you think big. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you much success.

White Sun – Life of Lao Tzu

The life of Lao Tzu is a mysterious one. His last name is “Li” and his first name is “Er”. “Bo-yang” is his courtesy name and “Dan” as his posthumous title. He was born in 571 BC during the time of King Ding of Zhou Dynasty in Chen County, State of Chu. He served as the Custodian of the Imperial Archives for King Ding. His father had a family name of Han and the first name Qian, with Yuan-bi as his courtesy name. His mother’s name was Jing-fu. His mysterious birth stated that his mother was pregnant for eighty years and he was born under a plum tree. Thus Lao Tzu adopted the Chinese character for plum (pronounced as Li) as his surname.

He is the first scholar to inherit the heritage of Tao and then he passed it to Confucius. After transmitting the essence of Tao to Confucius, he rode a green ox and went to the west through Fort Han-gu. He enlightened the King Yin-xi in the west. His teaching emphasizes on distancing emotions and desires and maintain one’s True Nature. By excluding all images in the material world, his way of reaching the Void (Heaven of Truth) is from the Heaven of Spirit. When the True Fire and True Water inside the body become complementary, the process of refinement will give birth to the immortal embryo. He wrote “Tao Te Ching” and “Qing-jing Ching, also known as Ch’ing-ching Ching” to teach people. He is greatly respected as the founder of Taoism.

For ages, the Chinese general belief has been that man must show that he is strong and not pliant; smart and not dull. But Lao Tzu came and said that man must show pliant and not tough. Man must have no motives and desires; be selfless, pure-minded and natural. He is strongly against materialism and advocates a life of natural goodness.

Realizing that the Zhou’s reign was disintegrating, he left Luoyang and went west through the Han Gu Pass. The keeper of the pass, Lin Yinxi, when met Lao Tzu at the pass, requested Lao Tzu to please write something to give him guidance. So Lao Tzu wrote a book made up of two parts, consisting of about 5,000 characters. Upon completing the book, Lao Tzu left and nobody knew where he went after that. The book is called Tao Te Ching.

My Heavenly Master JiGong said, “The books that you are reading (including Tao Te Ching) now are created by ancient people. Then the books that were created and handed down to you by the ancient people are actually telling you a road and a path for learning. Every matter must have its Truth and principle, and they must have its longitudes and latitudes (rules and norms).”

T.A Chew, in 1994 was told by a deity “blood brother of Lao Tzu” that Maitreya Buddha needs him to carry out a great mission in 12 years time, that is year 2006. Recalling this incident, it must be the propagation of Tao through the internet to reach out to millions. Website: http://www.white-sun.com

Is Your Customer Service Excellent?

“The last person to buy from you is the most likely to buy again and soon.” This quote is an old one and I do not know the author but I do know it to be true. After spending fourteen years of my life owning and running a retail art gallery, I was witness to this happening over and over again.

A repeat customer does not happen by accident. A repeat customer is the result of excellent customer service from you.

A man by the name of Harold Stanley Marcus was born on April 20, 1905 in Dallas, Texas. His family started an upper-end retail store in 1907 and called it Neiman-Marcus. Stanley started at the bottom in the family business in 1926 as a floorman. He began to work on the store’s image and customer service. Mr. Marcus has been quoted as saying “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” His son Richard, who took over from his father upon retirement, put a different spin on his father’s words of wisdom.

“Care for your customer and they will return… care for your merchandise and it won’t.”

Stanley Marcus retired in 1975 as a chairman who had shepherded the store to international prominence through a combination of uncompromising quality in merchandise and unwavering commitment to customer service. In 1984 Neiman- Marcus inaugurated retailing’s first customer loyalty program, InCircle. If you have a few minutes, take a look at the InCircle program at http://www.neimanmarcus.com. At the middle of the page on the left, click on InCircle Rewards. It is a secure page but you can scroll down to see what they are giving their good customers.

Granted, Neiman-Marcus is an upper-end retailer and it is inconceivable for you or me to offer anything to compare with what they are doing for their loyal customers.

The point is… what are you doing to bring your customer back?

Your new customer will receive a thank-you confirmation electronically which will probably contain other URLs to your other programs or products. Correct? But what else?

Right now you have the perfect opportunity to send a very personal email to that new customer. You may be thinking “I don’t have time to send out personal emails after every sale.” Well, you can’t afford not to. The next merchant will if you don’t, and that’s the merchant who will gain a loyal customer.

Offer your new customer your personal assistance and attention after the sale. Give them all of your contact information: email, phone number and address. Also, let them know that you have a “complimentary gift” for them as a “thank-you” for their purchase. Try to avoid the word “free.” This word seems to have lost it’s power due to its being used in almost every ad on the Internet.

When you offer to give personal assistance to your customer, make sure you are available during certain business hours. Answer your emails as quickly as possible. An immediate response is impressive and creates trust.

“Once you have your customer’s trust, you have won the most valuable prize in business.”

“Care for your customer and they will return…”

Communication of the 21st Century

The pleasures of talking or being able to communicate with the people that we love is really important to us this day in age. Thanks to the small world we live in, families and close social circles are separated on daily basis due to needs of our jobs and companies we work for. The chances that your boss might step right into your office and let you know that you have been promoted but you have to move to a different country are high now days, it nothing against you it’s the world we live in.

Which is why the communication industry has moved forward fast, with the ever-changing world that we live in. We have ways of communication that would have been unheard of just a couple of decades ago. Email, IM, Phone, Internet, Cell Phone, regular phone, text messaging, and many more. These innovations have rally made it easier for anyone to talk to anyone at whatever time. Many new devices come out on a daily basis, so make sure that you stay on top of your technology, and stay in contact with the people you love, and tell them about the good news and good things that happen in your life. Like when you lose your excess weight with the supplement Acceletrim, and anything positive that might happen.

How the Christian Right is Blowing It

I am not a particularly pious person and I certainly don’t go for the religious ceremony of things like Inaugurations and Graduations. It has always been my belief that we should do our alms in a closet. Whatever you give, keep that info to yourself, is pretty much my policy. In the past few years Christians have taken a lot of heat from liberals and moderates as a result of the Bush administration and mostly because of John Ashcroft and what has been labeled as “The Christian Right”.

That being said and believe me the citations are overwhelming and need not to be mentioned here for the sake of space, I have come wonder if the old saying, “What you do speaks louder than what you say”, should be in play here.

The newest attack on the Christian Right is that they have accused SpongeBob Squarepants and his buddy Patrick of being homosexual partners and are pushing the gay agenda down the throats of children. Remember Teletubbies sounds pretty similar.

Here is an example of the liberal critics taken from a letter I received in my email, “I see that once again, the “religious right wing” has found a monster in animated clothing, to wit, “SpongeBob.” This has happened before. I remember the comical furor over “Teletubbies” and aspersions that one of them was “gay.”

Now the target for this same claim is “SpongeBob Squarepants.” I don’t know their supposed grounds for their claims, but to say that I find this ludicrous is an understatement. This has become an obsession with this part of the populace, and obsessions are a fixation on something that one deeply wants but cannot have.

I would suggest to the “religious right” that they look within themselves for their monsters and grapple with their own secret desires, rather than attacking animated figures that do nothing more than amuse children.”

Now let’s put this into perspective. Most of my readers have the opinion that homosexual behavior is wrong because God’s Word says it is wrong. No debate on that one at least not from me. If you are one who sees nothing wrong with homosexual behavior, than you would say that my statement is homophobic or in the current debate of SpongeBob you would call me Christian Right Wing so I pose the question “Should the Christian Right Wing shut up and teach the Bible?”

Most of the so called Christian leaders who make the kind of public statements like the ones that have brought all this SpongeBob wrath down on Christians are simply trying to relate what the Bible says in real life examples of today’s culture.

What comes out is a suspicious and paranoid version of a Christian leader looking to condemn at any opportunity. Is there a homosexual under every rock, around every corner should we be preoccupied with unearthing every homosexual agenda or should we stick to preaching the word and be instant in season and out with the Word of God.

The best way to have our Christian light shine is to not hid it under a bushel basket and speak out with love. Sure teach what the Bible says about homosexuality but don’t point to an evil agenda in every aspect of life. I would agree with the critic, “This has become an obsession with this part of the populace (Christian Right), and obsessions are a fixation” given the current tenor to uncover the homosexual agenda.

Like any other type of non-biblical behavior homosexuality is to be rebuked and rebuffed by the Word. There is no pulpit for the obsessed nor is there a platform for the fixated, we must all teach the Word as we are inspired by God to meet the needs of our Christian brothers and sisters.

When someone asks me if homosexuality is wrong I simply quote: Rom. 1:27
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

If they hear the Word they will be blessed, if not they will not understand, it is that simple. I Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

So maybe the so called Christian Right should back off SpongeBob and teach the Word of God instead. Anyway nothing wrong with a Crabby Patty once in a while I think they are low in cholesterol.
